H.264 straight off Twitch, wrapped in MPEG-TS, demuxed in JavaScript and handed to the browser's own hardware decoder. Preset G copies the video stream instead of re-encoding it — if it plays, de1 is a relay rather than a transcoder.

Preset G copies the chosen rendition byte for byte, so the rendition's own bitrate is what crosses the car's link. Measured in the car on 2026-09-19: 3.1 then 3.9 Mbps at 310–340 ms RTT, which is why the default is 720p60 and not the broadcaster's 1080p60.
